Does MapTrack work offline in the field?
Yes. MapTrack is built for field use with full offline support. Operators and supervisors can scan QR codes, complete pre-start inspection forms, raise work orders, update asset details and record meter readings with no internet connection. Data syncs automatically when the device comes back online. This is critical for construction sites, mine sites, remote road corridors, pipeline projects and rural locations where cellular coverage is limited or absent.
What integrations does MapTrack support?
MapTrack integrates with a wide range of OEM telematics platforms, GPS providers, accounting systems and business tools. OEM integrations include Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Hitachi, JCB, Volvo, Bobcat and others - bringing engine hours, odometer readings, GPS location and fault codes into MapTrack automatically. Telematics platforms include Samsara, Geotab, Teletrac Navman, Motive, Verizon Connect and more. Accounting integrations include Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB and NetSuite. MapTrack also provides a modern REST API for custom integrations.
How does MapTrack handle pre-start inspections and compliance?
MapTrack digitalises pre-start inspections and compliance checks. Operators scan a QR code on the asset, complete a pre-start or inspection form on their phone with photos, timestamps and GPS location, and the result attaches to the asset record. Failed items can automatically trigger work orders so defects are tracked from identification through to rectification. All compliance evidence (pre-starts, calibrations, certifications, registrations) is searchable and exportable for audits. Forms can be created with AI, uploaded from existing templates or built from scratch.
Can MapTrack trigger maintenance from engine hours or odometer?
Yes. MapTrack supports meter-based maintenance scheduling driven by engine hours, odometer, runtime or any custom meter reading. Where you have OEM or telematics integrations, meter data feeds in automatically so maintenance is triggered by real usage. Not just the calendar. Work orders are created and assigned to mechanics when thresholds are reached. Manual meter readings can also be entered on mobile where telematics is not fitted. This prevents both over-servicing (wasting money) and under-servicing (causing breakdowns).
Is MapTrack suitable for enterprise and multi-site teams?
Yes. MapTrack supports enterprise deployments with SSO (SAML), Active Directory integration, role-based access control (RBAC), regional data hosting on AWS and a modern API.
